About the Xero integration

There are two ways to connect the Xero integration - one is through the Xero App Store and the other is directly through WellyBox.

If you installed WellyBox through the Xero App Store, a Xero export destination will automatically be added to your list of Accounting Software Integrations. If, for some reason, you need to add the Xero integration again, follow the instructions under Installing the Xero integration, below.

You can make sure Xero was installed successfully by loading the Accounting Software Integrations page with looking for a Xero account with a Connected status.

Installing the Xero integration

If you already have the Xero integration installed, move on to the next section.

  • Otherwise, under Accounting Software Integrations, click the (+) button:

  • Complete your login to Xero as usual.
  • You will then be presented with a screen allowing you to select the Xero Organisation you wish to sync WellyBox with. Select the relevant Organisation, or business, then click Allow access:

  • Once access is granted you will see an indication that the Xero integration has been installed. Click Send documents now to proceed with an export.

  • You will then be presented with a dialog confirming that the export process in being undertaken. Click Export history to see its progress.

  • Each export to Xero may either fail, succeed, or succeed partially. The corresponding statuses on WellyBox are Failed, Completed, and Partial. Clicking the link under the Receipts exported column would take you to the list of docs whose export was requested:

  • For each document that failed to export, you will be able to see what went wrong by hovering over that doc's heading:
  • For docs that were exported successfully, you can see that doc on Xero by click the ↗️ icon in that doc's heading, when filtering by Report.
  • You can review all of your exported docs on Xero by heading over to the Purchases overview > Bills page.

Purchasing a WellyBox Subscription

If you would like to purchase a WellyBox subscription, you can do so through Xero. This means you would only have to pay a single invoice per month, and that invoice would include both your existing Xero subscription, as well as your WellyBox subscription. To pay for your WellyBox subscription through Xero, click here.

Disconnecting WellyBox

We understand circumstances change, and you may want to remove WellyBox from your Xero account.

When you remove the Xero integration on the Accounting Software Integrations page, the connection to Xero will be revoked.

To ensure that the WellyBox connection no longer exists on Xero's side, head over to the Connected apps screen, look for the WellyBox row, then click Disconnect. If you cannot find WellyBox on that list, it means the connection has already been revoked.
